Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Alexander Lukashenko,
President of the Republic of Belarus, within the scope of the official visit to
the Republic of Belarus.
On 30 June 2009, within the scope of the two-day official visit to the Republic of Belarus, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament, stated the positive attitude of the Belarusian Party towards the development of relations with Ukraine. According to V.Lytvyn, the yesterday´s meetings with the leaders of the Belarus Republic have clearly testified of the fact.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus has highly evaluated the support of the Belarus by Ukraine in particular on the international level. He expressed hope that the Ukrainian Parliament also "plays the essential role in the way of the realization of the plans suggested by the two Presidents in order to facilitate bilateral relations".
"I
see no desperate issues", - he emphasized and expressed hope that
"the power of the Ukrainian Parliament would push the solving of the
decisions clarified during the previous meetings of the two countries
leaders".
President of the Republic of Belarus expressed for the fact that Ukrainian Belarusian relations must be exemplary.
